Harvesting Bamboo: Bamboo is a renewable source that reaches maturity in as little as three years. After harvesting bamboo, the outer layer of green skin is removed and the stalks are sliced into strips. The strips are then kiln dried and glued together to form wider strips or planks. The planks are then milled to form the high quality coasters shown below.
